All over nuts Hot and Sour Peanut Butter

We all love our toasts with a delicious dollop of butter or cheese. The perfect definition of comfort food, isn't it? But in reality, we never really gain anything except weight till we don't come out of our comfort zones. Well, some of us would still want to stick to the comfort zone while others will make an extra effort to make their meals healthier.  I say, there is one way everyone can enjoy their favorite food, stay in their comfy zone and stay healthy too! You can still enjoy your sandwiches with that cheesy texture. How? With nut butter! While the concept of nut butter is gradually coming to India, the process of ordering a variety of nut butters was made simpler, thanks to Bangalore based All Over Nuts. They are known for delivering delicious jars of homemade and preservative-free nut butter. I am here to review one of them- the Hot and Sour peanut butter.

What the brand says:
This is purely inspired from a vintage recipe picked up from our grandmother’s cookbook! This nut butter is made with light roasted peanuts, a pinch of sesame & cumin seeds, a hint of jaggery, few pods of tamarind and red chilli, a of pinch of Himalayan pink salt & nothing else!

All our nut butters are 100% natural & we do not add any homogenising agents / additives / binders or preservative to keep the natural nut oil together & also increase the shelf life of the product. Simply stir the butter before you serve. Do not drain the oil or you will have an extremely dense butter.

Storage:
It can be stored in a cool dry place like a kitchen pantry for about 2 weeks or be refrigerated up to 4 months!
Price:
Rs 270 for 200 gms.

My experience:
I am in love with this nut butter! Be it a pancake topping or a sandwich , this butter can be used almost everywhere. The hot and sour peanut butter is neither too sweet nor too spicy. It is a perfect balance of natural sweetness and heat. It has pink salt and is sweetened by jaggery, which makes it extremely healthy. It has no added oil or preservatives. Thus, it needs to be finished before its expiry date. But you need not worry because it gets finished way too early! It is that awesome.
You can use it on your toast, pancakes, chapatis, smoothie bowls and in many more creative ways.

It is totally worth Rs 250 for the quantity and quality. It is also heart friendly. What more could you ask from this hot and sour little jar?
